Welder

Seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator working at our Trailer Shop, located in Greensboro NC.

You will repair and construct heavy haul, flatbed, double drop, multi-axle, and open-top trailers. Particular care to produce clean, polished welds.

You determine material measurements, and take responsibility for fabricating parts used in later assembly processes. You are responsible for the quality of your output, so you must be able to perform simple tests to ensure weld quality and tolerance.

NOTE: This is Not a "table welder" job; it is an experienced "gritty welder" job where it can be physically demanding, requiring standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, bending or twisting in various positions, and working in confined (closed) spaces.

Duties and Responsibilities (but are not limited to):

• Fabricate and manufacture metal parts for later assembly
• Produce strong, clean welds
• Test output to ensure strength and tolerance of welds
• Rust Repairs

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Prior experience welding is required, preferably in trailer repairs
• Familiarity with common welding tools and procedures, including MIG welding, TIG welding, metal fabricating, grinding, and finishing metals
• Knowledge of common welding symbols
• Ability to stand, crouch, and occasionally lift heavy equipment
• Hours of work at our Trailer Repair shop: 7:00am – 4:30pm, Mon-Fri.
