STATUS: Full Time
LOCATION: 12 Elm St. Potsdam, NY 13676
DEPARTMENT: Clinical Research
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday (8:00am - 4:30pm)
SUMMARY:
Conducts and assists in the System physician and staff’s clinical research trials and projects. Obtains informed consent, collects, maintains, and processes study information and research data in strict accordance with specified research and clinical protocol.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Include the minimum job-related skills such as language, analytical, mathematical and communication skills and other qualifications such as degree, related experience, training, or license required to perform the essential components of this job.
Education/Certification:
- Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in biology or healthcare related field
- Preferred Certification: ACRP or SOCRA certification
Work Experience:
- Required: None
- Preferred: 1-3 years of experience in healthcare or related science field, with knowledge of medical terminology
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to manipulate multiple schedules, attend subject study visits, and document and record accurate data in compliance with the protocol and study design in a timely and efficient manner
- Ability to comprehend and utilize information from multiple sources to support the identification and recruitment of potential research participants based on strict study criteria
- Ability to communicate and work professionally with all levels of health care providers (physicians, nursing staff, laboratory, practice managers etc.)
- High level of attention to detail and thoroughness
- Self-starter and motivated
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting Prepare and facilitate site selection, initiation, monitoring, and close-out visits conducted by sponsor pharmaceutical companies, and follow-up as necessary
- Comfortable traveling to various clinical sites with the St. Lawrence Health System
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Physical:
- Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
- Occasional stooping, bending, reaching, lifting and pushing up to 20 pounds.
- Close visual acuity, read charts, analyze and prepare data, transcribing, viewing a computer screen, dials, equipment settings, literature and other printed or handwritten materials.
- Work with equipment and manipulate equipment settings, computer keyboard, etc.
Environmental:
- OSHA Category II: Some risk of exposure to blood/body fluids in the day to day job duties.
- Regular and on-time attendance.
- Hours occasionally exceed 40 hours per week.
- Office and clinical environments.
- Occasional travel by conventional means to other locations as required. Must hold valid driver’s license
- Occasional travel for conferences and/or investigator meetings may be required as needed

PAY RANGE:
$54,800.00 - $63,400.00CITY:

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
