Overview
The position monitors carrier responses, issues picking and loading instructions to warehouse operations, follows up on truck arrival schedules, and escalates transportation issues that may impact service performance. By maintaining accurate transportation data and providing timely operational updates, the role contributes to efficient distribution execution and delivery service reliability.
Responsibilities
- Review and validate daily transportation plans submitted by carriers and transport providers.
- Prepare and issue picking/loading documents to warehouse teams based on delivery schedules.
- Monitor vehicle arrival and loading timelines to ensure on-time operations.
- Follow up with transport providers and drivers to ensure vehicles arrive as scheduled.
- Track transportation status and update operational data accurately in relevant systems.
- Coordinate closely with warehouse, transportation vendors, and distribution teams to support daily execution.
- Escalate transportation delays, truck shortages, route deviations, or other operational issues to supervisors.
- Maintain transportation records, reports, and operational KPIs.
Qualifications
- College degree or above
- with at least 1 year of experience in a similar position
- Good understanding of transportation processes, warehouse operations, and distribution activities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), SAP, or other logistics systems is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing operational data.
- Good communication and coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle operational issues promptly.
