Contaminated Land Consultant

What you’ll do
Aurecon’s Environment and Planning team have a strong capability from project planning and feasibility to construction on a wide range of projects across both Western Australia and Australia. As a Contaminated Land Consultant in our Environment and Planning team, based in Perth, you’ll contribute to projects and programs that make a real difference and be part of a team that embraces challenges, welcomes diverse ideas, and creates solutions with people and outcomes in mind. You will:
Plan sampling design and coordinate field programs
Lead field programs implementing soil, groundwater and surface water sampling, including drilling supervision, test pitting and groundwater well installation
Coach and mentor peers and field staff
Provide high quality data gap assessments, and contaminated land investigations, in accordance with ASC NEPM requirements
Develop reports to exceptional technical and editorial standard and the work collaboratively with the team to meet client expectations
Proposal and project management support to the contaminated land team
What you’ll bring
Degree in environmental engineering or science disciplines.
Relevant experience (4 to 8 years) in undertaking contaminated land and/or groundwater investigations.
Demonstrated track record working on contaminated sites and field investigation programs, with previous experience in the Resource Sector and Defence considered highly desirable
A strong professional work ethic and commitment to health and safety for yourself, your team, subcontractors and clients
Detailed understanding of the Contaminated Sites Act 2003 and National Environment Protection Measure and other current and emerging National and Western Australian legislation, standards and guidelines for contaminated land.
A desire to deliver exceptional client experiences and provide field leadership.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Australian Defence Force baseline security clearance eligibility is desirable but not essential.
Current driver’s license.
