Compensation: $36.00 - $38.00 / hour
Description
This is a 2nd shift position, working hours from 3pm to 11pm, Monday thru Friday.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required. The employee must be able to safely use required personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and fall protection as needed. Work is performed in both office and shop floor environments with standard lighting, equipment, and varying noise levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production machinery, support equipment, and facility systems.
- Complete work orders and document maintenance activities in the maintenance system.
- Assist with equipment moves, installations, and upgrades to support production needs.
- Follow preventive maintenance schedules and help develop/update related work instructions.
- Work with contractors and skilled trades on assigned projects.
- Conduct basic safety checks, participate in safety training, and follow all safety procedures.
- Maintain parts inventory by tracking usage and reporting needs.
- Help keep the maintenance shop organized, clean, and functional.
- Participate in facility upkeep, general repairs, and grounds-related tasks as needed.
- Assist on special projects such as installing air systems, upgrading machinery, or supporting equipment rebuilds.
- Perform all skills and abilities associated with the Maintenance Utility Technician, Maintenance Technician I, and Maintenance Technician II positions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
· Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
· Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
· Strong ability in PLC & AC/DC drive troubleshooting.
· Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new equipment and systems.
· Knowledge and experience with fabrication, welding, basic machining, and milling machine operation.
· Strong knowledge of CNC saws and conveyor systems, high pressure chemical pumps and mixing.
· Familiar with spray guns & spray adhesives.
· Familiar with NFPA 70e & LO/TO procedures.
· Familiar with robotic and automated systems.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Must be able to work well individually and in a team environment.
· Basic skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
