The Opportunity

As a Financial Analyst - Business Unit / Global Function FP&A, you will provide analytical insights, financial planning expertise, and controlling support that enables leaders to make informed decisions and achieve business objectives.

How You'll Make an Impact
- Analyze business performance against Budget, Flash, Forecast, Latest Estimate, Prior Quarter, and Prior Year, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Lead monthly forecasting and flash processes, preparing forecast and executive presentations that effectively communicate financial performance to senior stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver monthly management reporting packs, KPI dashboards, executive presentations, and detailed variance analyses.
- Support month-end close activities while ensuring compliance with Hitachi Energy financial policies, operational requirements, and IFRS standards.
- Perform balance sheet analysis, proactively identifying P&L and balance sheet impacts, including inventory, contract assets and liabilities, and net working capital movements.
- Lead the annual planning and budgeting process, including operating budgets, multi-year financial plans, and driver-based financial modeling.
- Analyze cash flow, inventory, and net working capital performance, providing business insights and recommendations to improve financial outcomes.
- Partner with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Commercial, Global Functions, and Finance teams to support business objectives and performance improvement initiatives.
- Conduct trend analysis, scenario modeling, and ad hoc financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic business planning.
- Support audit, controls, automation, process standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reporting quality and operational efficiency.
Your Background
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with CA, CMA, CPA, MBA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- 4-8 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Controlling, or Finance Business Partnering, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong foundation in financial and cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and performance analysis.
- Hands-on experience with SAP FICO, including CO-PA; understanding of SAP SD, MM, PP, and PS modules is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to drive automation, reporting standardization, process improvements, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet strict deadlines, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional and global stakeholders.
