We have an opportunity for a Head of Corporate Finance to join their team of staff in the Financial Control department.
This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
You support the CFO in developing and executing the Group’s long-term financial and strategic plan.
You lead end-to-end acquisition, merger, disposal and strategic partnership activity, from initial assessment through due diligence, approval and completion.
You establish and maintain robust investment appraisal standards and methodologies across the Group.
You support the CFO with debt financing, refinancing, banking and wider capital structure activities.
You develop and oversee complex financial models covering valuation, forecasting, investment appraisal and scenario planning.
You prepare high-quality investment papers, Board materials and Executive Committee submissions.
You monitor developments across the healthcare market, including competitor activity, investment trends and changes affecting healthcare providers.
You lead and develop a high-performing Corporate Finance function, providing clear direction, coaching and professional support.
You ensure corporate finance activity is undertaken within appropriate financial, regulatory and organisational governance frameworks.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent recognised professional accountancy qualification.
Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience.
Significant corporate finance experience gained within a large corporate, healthcare organisation, professional services firm or investment environment.
Proven experience leading or playing a significant role in M&A transactions, including due diligence and transaction execution.
Advanced financial modelling, valuation and investment appraisal expertise.
Experience developing robust business cases and evaluating significant capital investments.
Experience preparing and presenting financial analysis and recommendations at Executive and/or Board level.
Strong commercial judgement with the ability to evaluate complex strategic opportunities.
Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
Strong leadership and project management capability.
