Responsibilities

 

We are looking for a SysOps Engineer to manage and operate Linux systems supporting secure, high-availability digital services. The role covers production operations throughout the service lifecycle, with a strong focus on Linux administration, troubleshooting, patching, disaster recovery, automation and cloud operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Linux / RedHat production systems, ensuring high availability and performance in accordance with service levels.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues while maintaining platform availability targets.
• Perform regular system updates and patch management, including security updates.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure business continuity and system resilience.
• Configure and optimize system automation tools and scripts to improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with security teams to support compliance requirements in the Linux environment.
• Deploy, manage and operate systems hosted on cloud platforms.

 

Qualifications

• Proven experience in systems administration, Linux systems or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of RedHat and/or CentOS systems.
• Good understanding of cloud principles and operational best practices.
• Experience with business continuity and disaster recovery procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive approach to system monitoring and optimization.

 

Desired skills

• Experience in financial services, payments or another regulated production environment.
