Position Summary
The Electrical Engineer designs, modifies, evaluates supports components and processes used in LnW Gaming products and systems. Determines design approaches and parameters. Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results. Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
Essential Job Functions
Design, qualify, test electronic components, sub-assemblies, and systems.
Provide sustainment for existing hardware products
Perform design validation and test on newly designed and existing electronic products
Project manager for various development, test, and sustaining engineering tasks
Maintain relationships with vendors and internal LnW teams to provide electrical engineering product support
Experience in root cause analysis of electrical assemblies and providing corrective actions
Support engineering quality efforts in cooperation with vendors and internal LnW teams
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
2-5 years’ experience in Electrical Hardware Development and Sustainment (full life cycle) with an emphasis on Embedded Systems, Computer Architecture, and Circuit Design
Experience with the full life cycle of electronic systems development (i.e. concept definition, software requirements, working with distributors, selecting parts, developing design requirements, product release, and manufacturing
Proficient in schematic capture and PCB layout using industry standard CAD Tools such as Altium or Orcad
Strong knowledge of various communication protocols such as USB, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, RS-232, RS-485, JTAG, and PCIe
Experience with diagnostics and forensic debugging of electronic circuit boards and assemblies
Experience with EMC/EMI FCC/CE, safety testing and compliance desirable
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of grounding schemes, wire sizing trade-offs, signal isolation, and bus interfaces (e.g., Ethernet, RS422)
Provide the engineering expertise to design, fabricate and integrate harnesses systems and represent the harness discipline on a project
Investigate, plan, design and develop harnesses to meet various technical requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or significant equivalent experience
