Description
Environmental Resources Management, Inc. (ERM) is currently hiring a Field Logistics and Fleet Coordinator to support construction and environmental field operations for a large electric transmission line project located throughout Nevada and Idaho. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating company vehicles and equipment, supporting field logistics, procuring and managing safety supplies, and ensuring field personnel have the resources necessary to safely and effectively perform their work. This position will be based in our Elko, NV office.
This position supports a large, geographically dispersed field team and requires a highly organized, safety-focused individual capable of working independently across multiple project locations. The role involves frequent travel, coordination of fleet assets, management of project inventories, and direct support of field crews operating in remote locations. This is a part-time (<20 hours per week) limited-term role with a duration of 1 year, extendable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fleet and Vehicle Management
- Coordinate retrieval of project vehicles from field locations and transport vehicles to maintenance facilities.
- Schedule and track preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, and service appointments for project trucks and fleet vehicles.
- Maintain vehicle records, service logs, registrations, insurance documentation, and fleet inventories.
- Coordinate vehicle assignments and deployment to project personnel.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are maintained in safe operating condition.
- Track fuel card usage, vehicle utilization, and mileage records.
- Assist with fleet replacement planning, rental vehicle coordination, and vehicle mobilization/demobilization activities.
Equipment and Logistics Coordination
- Procure, track, store, and distribute field equipment and project supplies.
- Coordinate mobilization of field equipment across Nevada and Idaho project areas.
- Maintain inventories of tools, communications equipment, PPE, field gear, and other project assets.
- Organize project warehouses, storage yards, and equipment staging areas.
- Support field crews by delivering, retrieving, and exchanging equipment as needed.
- Track equipment utilization and maintain accountability of company assets.
Safety Equipment Procurement and Inventory Management
Procure and manage inventories of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety supplies including:
- Hard hats
- Safety glasses
- High-visibility clothing
- Work gloves
- Fall protection equipment
- First aid supplies
- Fire extinguishers
- Hearing protection
Coordinate replacement of damaged, expired, or non-compliant safety equipment.
Maintain inventory levels sufficient to support changing project staffing requirements.
Support compliance with ERM and client health and safety requirements.
Project Support
- Coordinate shipping, receiving, and distribution of project materials.
- Support onboarding of new personnel by preparing vehicles, safety equipment, and field supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory, procurement, and logistics records.
- Assist project managers and field supervisors with logistics planning and resource allocation.
- Coordinate vendor relationships, equipment rentals, and purchase orders.
- Respond to urgent field support requests and assist remote crews throughout the project area.
- Perform other project support duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in fleet coordination, logistics, warehouse operations, construction support, environmental field support, or a related field preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to drive pickup trucks and tow small trailers.
- Experience managing equipment inventories and procurement activities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic project environment.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to established health and safety requirements.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Frequent driving between project sites, maintenance facilities, and supplier locations.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely load, unload, and organize equipment and supplies.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to travel throughout Nevada and Idaho, including overnight travel as needed.
Pay Transparency:
For the Field Logistics and Fleet Coordinator position, we anticipate the annual base pay of $66,560-$83,200, $32.00/hr – $40.00/hr USD, limited-term, non-exempt. An employee’s pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. We also may have instances where employee’s fall outside of the range based on the factors noted above. This job may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/Flexforce employees are NOT bonus eligible).
