QA Engineer

We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and usability of digital platforms and websites built using Optical CMS or Directus CMS. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in functional and regression testing, cross-browser and device testing, accessibility testing, API testing, and release validation. The candidate should be able to work independently and objectively, with a preference for QA professionals who operate independently from the development team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing to validate application features against business and technical requirements.
• Conduct regression testing to ensure new changes and enhancements do not impact existing functionality.
• Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing across supported browsers, operating systems, screen sizes, and mobile devices.
• Conduct accessibility testing to identify usability and accessibility issues and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
• Perform API testing to validate API functionality, responses, integrations, data accuracy, and error handling.
• Validate CMS functionality and configurations within Optical CMS or Directus CMS.
• Prepare and execute detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts based on requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through to resolution.
• Perform defect verification and regression testing after fixes are implemented.
• Conduct release validation to ensure applications meet quality requirements before production deployment.
• Support UAT activities and collaborate with business stakeholders to investigate and resolve reported issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and provide clear technical information to development and technical teams.
• Maintain accurate QA documentation, test evidence, defect reports, and testing status updates.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Technical Leads, and Project Managers throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Provide independent quality assessment and ensure testing activities are performed objectively.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, coverage, and overall product quality.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 4–6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or a related role.
• Mandatory: Hands-on experience with either Optical CMS or Directus CMS platform.
• Strong experience in functional and regression testing.
• Proven experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing.
• Experience performing accessibility testing for web applications.
• Hands-on experience with API testing.
• Experience with release validation and production readiness testing.
• Strong experience in defect identification, documentation, tracking, and verification.
• Ability to independently plan and execute testing activities with minimal supervision.
• Preferably independent from the development team to maintain objective and unbiased quality validation.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
