Job Title: Painter FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY
As a Painter, you will be responsible for the painting various sign types. (pylon signs, wall signs, channel letter, awnings, etc.)
- Maintains and Documents time worked on timesheet to allocate to the proper work order or indirect labor code
- Utilizes sanders, body fill and basic paint mixing as well as spray solid color, grinders and other related equipment and tools required to fulfill work assignments
- Works in paint booth painting channel letters.
- Planning and organization of paint booth, work and drying area.
- Works with spray solid and metallic, clear coating, spraying multiple layers, textures and finishing
- Cleans, maintains and services required equipment used during performance of work assignments
- Read and understand prints
- Scale and advanced planning
- Understand how to plan for quality, well lit, serviceable and shippable minor custom, small and large signs
Requirements
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ Years Experience in Sign Industry preferred
- Some structural and logistics knowledge
- Electrical knowledge preferred
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Ability to handle pressure situations
- Have an understanding of computers and technology
- Work in fast pace environment
- Must be able to multi task and stay organized
- Must be able to work in team environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; work with their hands handle, or feel, whether directly manipulating components or using controls on an assembly machine. Employee must be able to talk or hear over shop noise. Employee must be able to stand for extended periods of time at work tables. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move 50 to 75 pounds and move it for at least 50 feet. pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
