At Boston Scientific, we’ll give you the opportunity to harness all that’s within you by working in teams of diverse and high-performing employees, tackling some of the most important health industry challenges. With access to the latest tools, information and training, we’ll help you in advancing your skills and career. Here, you’ll be supported in progressing – whatever your ambitions.
About the role:
Join Boston Scientific at the forefront of innovation as we embrace AI to transform healthcare and drive cutting-edge solutions.
We are seeking a Senior Product Owner – AI Product Delivery to partner closely with business teams across Boston Scientific and turn emerging business needs into executable AI solutions. This role will drive the delivery of high-impact AI solutions that align with our strategic goals and deliver measurable business value.
This role sits at the intersection of business, product, and technology. You will work with stakeholders who may bring an early-stage idea, an unclear problem, or a desired outcome. You will help determine what is possible, where AI can add value, and how to translate the opportunity into a viable solution.
The ideal candidate is technically curious, highly adaptable, and comfortable operating in ambiguity. This individual should be able to engage deeply enough in AI, data, integrations, and application architecture to ask the right questions, challenge assumptions, and independently move an idea from ambiguity toward execution.
Success in this role requires a strong bias for action and accountability for defining and prioritizing features and delivering robust AI solutions.
Boston Scientific was recognized as a Glassdoor Best Place to Work in 2026, ranking No. 15 on the Top 100 list, reflecting the culture our employees experience every day.
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in our local office five at least three (3) days per week.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.
Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for custom GenAI and agentic AI applications, from idea intake and discovery through deployment, knowledge transfer, and hypercare, with accountability for maintaining momentum and driving solutions to completion
- Define and drive the roadmap for GenAI and Agentic AI products in partnership with stakeholders
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify, shape, and advance AI opportunities from early-stage ideas into clearly defined, executable solutions
- Lead cross-functional Agile teams by owning the product backlog and facilitating key ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups; proactively manage dependencies, risks, decisions, and blockers to keep delivery on track
- Capture high-value use cases through discovery workshops, interviews, and analysis sessions to understand business problems, existing workflows, user needs, data availability, constraints, and desired outcomes; define clear problem statements and prioritize value delivery
- Work closely with AI engineering, architecture, data, platform, security, and other technical teams to understand solution design, technical tradeoffs, integrations, dependencies, and constraints, and translate these into actionable delivery plans
- Manage change activities, including stakeholder communications, adoption planning, and issue resolution during hypercare
- Ensure robust documentation and training materials are created to support scalable deployment and adoption across teams
- Track success metrics and KPIs to inform iterative product improvements and contribute to long-term roadmap planning
- Champion responsible AI practices by ensuring that security, compliance, and ethical AI principles are embedded throughout delivery
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders to promote AI opportunities and help scale emerging GenAI and agentic AI capabilities
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in digital product management within custom application delivery, or minimum of 8 years of such professional experience without a Bachelor’s degree
- Strong familiarity with large language models (LLMs), AI agents, prompt engineering, and their application in enterprise use cases
- Experience working with technical teams on GenAI, AI/ML, data, or analytics products
- Technical fluency and curiosity, with the ability to engage effectively with engineers and architects on topics such as APIs, MCPs, integrations, data flows, application architecture, and system dependencies
- Deep interest in emerging AI technologies and their real-world applications, with the ability to quickly learn unfamiliar technologies, tools, and concepts as needed to deliver solutions
- Proficient in Agile/Scrum delivery practices
- Working knowledge of machine learning concepts and system architecture
- Skilled in gathering and documenting functional requirements and translating loosely defined business needs into clear, actionable requirements and acceptance criteria
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to drive alignment and resolve delivery challenges
- Experience managing go-live activities, knowledge transfer, and post-launch support
- Demonstrated experience owning and driving initiatives from discovery through production delivery, including managing risks, dependencies, decisions, and stakeholder expectations
- Flexibility to collaborate across global time zones as business needs require
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience delivering digital capabilities for healthcare professionals and patients
- Experience working with generative AI and large language models (LLMs), with direct involvement in developing and implementing these technologies
- Experience presenting to stakeholders and gaining buy-in, with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels
- Proven ability to work independently while proactively engaging with team members, colleagues, and stakeholders to align and drive solutions forward
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated comfort navigating ambiguity, taking initiative, and finding paths forward when the process, requirements, or solution are not yet fully defined
