Description
## What you’ll do:
Perform fluid flow and thermal simulations for a wide range of data center and electrical products, including breakers, transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, and related equipment, to support performance prediction and design optimization.
Execute plasma simulation projects involving coupled CFD and electromagnetic analyses for various Eaton electrical products.
Collaborate closely with global Centers of Excellence (CoE) and product engineering teams to understand design intent, develop high-fidelity simulation models, and validate results against test data.
Provide technical recommendations and engineering insights to support product development, issue resolution, and innovation initiatives.
Lead and execute complex engineering projects independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Drive both internal and external technical communications, ensuring clear stakeholder alignment and project execution.
Guide, mentor, and technically coach engineers on critical simulation methodologies, modeling practices, and project deliverables.
Develop and validate flow, thermal, and plasma simulation models for electrical systems, subsystems, and components using Ansys simulation tools and physics-based analytical methods.
Execute CFD, thermal, electromagnetic, and plasma simulations to support design, performance prediction, and optimization of electrical products and systems.
Drive an Analysis First culture by leveraging CAE methodologies to influence product design decisions early in the development cycle.
Deliver deep engineering insights through simulation-driven design to ensure products meet all critical performance requirements and CTQs.
Develop innovative simulation methodologies, concepts, and solutions that contribute to intellectual property through patents, innovation disclosures, and technical publications.
Influence cross-functional teams and drive resolution of complex technical challenges through strong technical leadership.
Communicate project status, findings, and recommendations effectively to internal and external stakeholders across global teams.
Mentor and guide engineers on simulation best practices, model development, validation approaches, and technical problem solving.
## Qualifications:
M.Tech/MS - Mechanical Engineering
4-5 years
## Skills:
- Strong Fundamnetals in Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Arc physics and experience in CFD modeling using Ansys CAE tools such as Spaceclaim, Ansys meshing, Fluent meshing, Fluent Solver, CFDPost, Ensight and alied tools
- Exposure to Electrical and Eletromagnatics Fundamentals
