5X2, 4X3 9hr Shifts

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

At Sibanye-Stillwater, the Procurement Specialist is responsible for purchasing goods and services according to departmental and organizational policies and procedures.

The Procurement Specialist's primary duties are:

• Communicate and support area goals and initiatives to work groups within the Company.
• Promote and maintain a safe work environment, safe work practices, and a strong safety culture.
• Ensures compliance with all related laws and regulations.
• Collecting and communicating accurate information in a timely manner.
• May be asked to help with training peers.
• Evaluates vendors based on price, reliability, capability, and previous transaction history.
• Works with vendors to negotiate volume and cash transaction discounts, and other available discounts.
• Develops vendor relationships.
• Analyses and evaluates supplier performance.
• Create purchase orders and tally these with supply requests and orders.
• Purchases goods and services according to the company's policies and procedures.
• Coordinates with managers to maintain inventory levels.
• Ensures that purchasing documents are complete and accurate and include appropriate and reasonable
• Maintains pricing histories and other vendor records.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in related field highly preferred.
• Exposure to warehousing or purchasing experience preferred.
