SMCS-Valley AdministrationPosition Overview:
Provides overall direction and management, operational planning, administrative coordination and implementation of programs and activities related to the oncology service line. Accountable for the development and implementation of cancer resource and recovery programs, patient navigation (standards, scope of practice, and variance reduction), cancer patient experience improvement, survivor-ship care, monitoring of outcome metrics, management and compliance with accreditation program mandates relative to navigation, survivorship, and cancer recovery. Develops relationships with service and health care providers to assist oncology patients in achieving the best possible health outcome by facilitating access to healthcare, physician providers and community resources that enhance patients' experience within the health care system, as well as helping them achieve maximum benefit from those resources.Sutter Health, Northern California's largest health network with 29 acute care hospitals, more than 5,000 primary care physicians and specialists, home health, occupational health, psychiatric care and more provides comprehensive medical services in more than 100 Northern California communities. Job Description:
** This hybrid role requires travel within the Sutter Health footprint and to be onsite as needed. **
EDUCATION:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- BSN or MSN Preferred
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
- RN-Registered Nurse of California upon hire.
- OCN-Oncology Certified Nurse. Preferred
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
- 12 years of recent and relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of current clinical practices in cancer services, multidisciplinary clinics, infusion center and radiation oncology.
- Current with new and changing standards, including clinical, reimbursement and regulatory.
- Knowledge of Title XXII and JCAHO standards.
- Demonstrated application of management theory and practice including systems analysis, financial and human resource management, organizational development, planning, marketing and governmental regulations.
- Solid understanding of operations and workflows, and how department’s process/workflow impacts other department operations.
- Verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey concepts and communicate information or issues in a manner that is readily understood by management and employees.
- Demonstrates effectiveness in achieving goals through individuals without having direct control of those resources.

Pay Range is $200,096.00 to $320,153.60 / annual salaryThe compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
