Air Products is seeking a Commercial Paralegal at our global HQ in Allentown, Pennsylvania to provide contracting support to commercial attorneys and business clients by assisting with the preparation, review, negotiation, administration, and execution of gas sales agreements, amendments, and related legal documents.
The position serves as a key liaison between the Law Department, commercial teams, and business management to ensure compliance with Air Products’ sales contract risk profile, enhance process efficiency and operational effectiveness and support consistent resolution of commercial issues. One particular area of focus will be on reaching an AI-supported contract digitalization state. The role also serves as a primary point of contact for contract training initiatives.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Support commercial contracting activities by drafting, reviewing, revising, negotiating, administering, and coordinating the execution of gas sales agreements while ensuring alignment with business objectives, internal standards, pricing, and delivery requirements.
Advance the use of technology and AI-enabled solutions by supporting implementation, adoption, training, and ongoing utilization of artificial intelligence tools, contract technologies, contract clause management systems, and other initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness and service delivery.
Act as a primary liaison between commercial teams, business management, and attorneys by coordinating priorities, communicating status updates, escalating critical issues, ensuring alignment on legal strategies, and helping drive timely resolution of business and customer concerns.
Drive consistency in commercial issue management and dispute resolution by supporting surcharge matters, contract interpretation issues, questions from sales teams, and other commercial legal initiatives while promoting a unified approach among stakeholders.
Lead legal training and knowledge-sharing initiatives by developing training materials, facilitating and leading training sessions, educating stakeholders on contract forms and deviation/negotiation processes, and promoting best practices across the organization.
Improve efficiency and collaboration between the commercial organization and the Law Department by managing communication, coordinating open legal matters, identifying process improvement opportunities, facilitating issue resolution, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred; or
Associate’s degree with Paralegal Certificate.
Experience
Minimum of four (4) years of recent and relevant legal and/or business experience.
Experience generating, negotiating, revising, interpreting, and administering commercial contracts.
Experience supporting commercial attorneys and business clients in a corporate legal environment OR contracts advisory or management experience.
Experience utilizing contracting technology platforms, contract management systems, and AI-enabled tools.
Experience coordinating cross-functional projects and working with multiple stakeholders.
Experience developing and delivering training programs is a plus.
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of commercial contracting principles, contract terms, and contract administration practices.
Understanding of legal terminology and commercial legal processes.
Ability to draft contract language and related legal documents for attorney review.
Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to engage effectively with all levels of management and business personnel.
Ability to act independently while exercising sound judgment and discretion.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience with legal research tools such as Westlaw, Lexis, and PACER preferred.
Working knowledge of artificial intelligence applications, legal technology tools, workflow automation platforms, and emerging technologies relevant to legal operations.
