Job Summary
Our client in the Real Estate & Property Development industry is seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to support property sales, lead generation, client engagement, site visits, deal closure and customer relationship management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and following up prospective buyers, understanding their property requirements, presenting suitable projects and guiding clients through the sales process from initial inquiry to booking and documentation. The role requires strong communication, sales discipline, customer service and consistent CRM and sales reporting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Generation & Follow-Up
- Identify and qualify potential buyers through various channels, including walk-ins, calls, online inquiries, property expos and referrals.
- Follow up diligently with leads using CRM tools and maintain detailed records of all interactions.
2. Client Engagement & Consultation
- Understand client needs, preferences and budget to match them with the most suitable property.
- Provide accurate information about project features, location benefits, pricing, payment plans and construction timelines.
- Give site tours or virtual walkthroughs of properties to clients.
- Manage model homes and ensure they are presentable.
3. Sales Presentation & Deal Closure
- Deliver persuasive sales presentations and property demonstrations.
- Handle negotiations within given price margins and payment plans.
- Prepare and explain booking forms, agreements and payment schedules.
- Guide clients through the booking and documentation process.
4. Market & Product Knowledge
- Stay updated on all current and upcoming projects, unit availability, pricing and offers.
- Keep track of competitor projects, pricing and promotional strategies.
- Advise clients on market trends and investment opportunities.
5. Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients for referrals and repeat business.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the pre-sales and post-sales process.
- Address customer concerns promptly and coordinate with internal teams for resolution.
6. Reporting & Coordination
- Submit daily and weekly sales reports.
- Work with marketing and back-office teams to coordinate campaigns, site events and documentation.
- Update the CRM system with all lead activities, status changes and customer feedback.
Day-to-Day Activities
- Respond to inquiries received through calls, emails, WhatsApp and walk-ins.
- Conduct site visits and personally guide clients through model flats or project sites.
- Present project details using brochures, floor plans, payment plans and presentations.
- Follow up on leads through timely calls, emails and messages to nurture prospects.
- Close bookings by ensuring agreements are signed and initial payments are received.
- Attend sales briefings, target reviews, meetings and training sessions. Sales Rep - Roles (1)
Sales Reporting Requirements
- The Sales Representative will be expected to maintain accurate and timely reporting, including:
- Weekly Sales Activity Report: inquiries received, follow-ups made, client meetings, virtual presentations, site visits, lead status, client feedback and objections.
- Lead Status Report / CRM Update: maintain the current status of all assigned leads and their position within the sales funnel using the company’s CRM system.
- Sales Funnel / Pipeline Report: maintain pipeline information to support forecasting of future sales closures and revenue.
- Client Feedback & Market Intelligence Report: provide feedback on pricing, location, project features, customer objections, reasons for drop-offs, competitor activities and opportunities to improve marketing or product positioning.
- Maintain structured reports using Excel or Google Sheets, summary reports where required, and an updated CRM system such as Zoho or equivalent.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Real Estate, Property Management, Commerce, or other related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in sales, business development, property sales or a customer-facing commercial role.
- Previous experience in real estate or property development sales is highly desirable.
- Strong sales, negotiation and closing skills.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable property options.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Experience conducting client meetings, sales presentations and site visits.
- Ability to consistently follow up leads and manage prospects through the sales funnel.
- Good understanding of customer relationship management and after-sales service.
- Experience using CRM systems such as Zoho or equivalent is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Word and other standard business applications.
- Strong reporting, record-keeping and organizational skills.
- Good commercial awareness and ability to monitor competitor activities and market trends.
- Target-driven, proactive and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
