Procurement Sustainability Specialist

Job Description:

We are now looking for aProcurement Sustainability Specialist for our Airbus GBS team.

Responsibilities - your mission

• Manage the end-to-end sustainability topics for a specific commodity/entity or supplier portfolio with minimal supervision.
• Ability to identify and suggest enhancements to existing S2P (Source-to-Pay) sustainability practices and tools.
• Coordinate directly with internal and external stakeholders to drive corrective action plans and ensure adherence to Airbus sustainability criteria.
• Ability to influence internal stakeholders in order to have sustainability requirements integrated into standard procurement processes and supplier selection criteria.
• Provide guidance to junior colleagues on technical tools and established procurement practices.

​Requirements - our ideal candidate will have:

• University degree in Business, Supply Chain, Environmental Science or an equivalent combination of education and /or experience.
• Deep understanding of sustainability principles (e.g., Carbon Footprint, Environmental compliance, Scope 3 emissions), their application in a corporate environment and how these intersect with procurement and supply chain operations.
• Advanced proficiency in procurement systems and sustainability ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria and ways of working.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and to use autonomously and proactively the Google Workspace.
• Ability to proactively propose improvement to existent processes and implement them.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently within established practices and make decisions on standard operational issues.
• Strong organizational skills and a rigorous approach to managing multiple tasks with high accuracy.
• Proactive learner capable of applying theoretical knowledge to practical, structured work assignments.
• Ability to manage different stakeholders and facilitate organizational change through clear and persuasive communication.
• Fluency in English sufficient to fully engage in negotiations and team meetings.
• Able to work in a dynamic and multicultural environment with a lot of different and complex tools and flows of topics/data.
