Assignments are based on coverage needs and may change between shifts, so we look for officers who can work reliably across the local area.ResponsibilitiesKeep a visible, professional presence that helps prevent theft and unsafe conditionsPatrol the property and check that entrances and exits are secureMonitor for suspicious activity and safety hazards, and report them promptlyAssist visitors, customers, and staff in a friendly, helpful wayRespond to incidents and emergencies calmly and by the bookWrite clear, accurate incident and daily activity reportsCommunicate with site management and emergency services as neededRequirementsPossess or be able to obtain a Virginia DCJS unarmed security officer registrationMeet Virginia's minimum age and eligibility requirements for security registrationPass a criminal background checkReliable transportation to reach assigned sites in the Roanoke areaWillingness to learn site procedures and follow them consistentlyAble to stand and walk for extended periodsNo prior experience required, training and guidance are providedBenefitsWeekly paychecks on our regular pay cycleShift scheduling that fits around your commitmentsExtra-shift opportunities spanning several client locationsGrowth potential as our assignments continue to expandUniform & equipmentClass A black uniform required (ability to obtain); equipment may be issued.ScheduleShifts may include days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.How to applyHit Apply to submit your information.
