Hourly Pay Range:
$18.76 - $28.14 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.Position Highlights:
Position: Fitness Specialist
Location: Seven Bridges Fitness Center - Woodridge, IL
Part Time | 12 hours/week
Hours: Shift will vary by department needs - Monday - Friday 11am - 7pm and weekends 11:45am - 6pm
What you will do:
Provides individualized fitness consultation to members and non-members with healthy and/or special needs in order to assess their overall fitness level. Prescribes exercise program(s) in accordance with established fitness consultation protocol. Provides continual follow-up services as needed.
Pro-actively assists members with exercise programs, instructing orientation to equipment, group exercise and wellness classes.
Instructs group exercise classes for healthy and special needs members and non-members.
Assists and/or develops, coordinates and implements clinical, fitness, member motivational programming and special events as directed by supervisor.
Contributes in the development and administration of the budget and program plans of fitness programs and as directed by supervisor.
Monitors quality, progress and success of members and non-members engaged in fitness programs and assists with medical members.
Develops wellness educational lectures and presents to members at EHFC locations and to the community.
Contributes to the member service of the Center by completing face-to-face interactions with members on a daily basis.
What you will need:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or a closely related field or any Bachelor’s Degree plus a nationally accredited certification such as NASM/ACSM or ISSA or a degree in process with completion within two (2) years of employment, required.
Certification: Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association required within 90 days of employment.
Experience: A minimum of one year of previous fitness specialist experience is preferred and excellent customer service skills, required.
