Who Are We

Warner Bros. Discovery’s Enterprise Data, AI & Strategy (EDAIS), part of the Technology & Operations organization, enables business and technology teams to use data and artificial intelligence to improve decisions, automate work, and create new products and experiences. Our AI Platform Engineering & Developer Experience function provides the shared services, tooling, standards, and self-service experiences that allow engineering teams to build, deploy, observe, and govern AI solutions consistently at enterprise scale. Your New Role

The AI/ML Internship Program offers a 6-month immersive experience for students passionate about building and operating machine learning solutions at enterprise scale. You will work closely with our AI platform and engineering teams on real projects spanning the end-to-end ML workflow, modern deep learning and LLM approaches, and the shared tooling that helps teams ship AI safely and consistently. We are looking for team players who strive for excellence, are comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, and whose problem-solving skills and technical aptitude allow them to adapt quickly to a wide range of software, development tools, and build systems. Across the six months you will be mentored by senior engineers and technical leaders, learn from WBD’s global technology leaders, contribute to cross-regional initiatives across brands and functions, and build your network through structured intern events.

In this role, you will:

• Support the operation of machine learning solutions at scale across the end-to-end ML workflow — configuration, data collection and verification, feature extraction, training, serving, validation, experimentation, and monitoring.

• Build and evaluate models using modern ML approaches such as GBDT, CNN, LSTM, GRU, transformers, siamese neural networks, and variational auto-encoders, with exposure to deep learning, LLMs, reinforcement learning, or causal inference.

• Work with batch and streaming data processing techniques on AWS or similar cloud platforms, applying resource and process management and analytics practices.

• Contribute to projects involving LLM applications, APIs, workflow automation, chatbots, or software agents, alongside backend development, developer tooling, and DevOps work.

• Assess critical factors for success and mitigate risk on deliverables, share technical knowledge and best practices with team members, and articulate ideas clearly in writing and conversation.

Key Domain

• Machine Learning Engineering: Python or Scala with TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, scikit learn, and Spark across the end-to-end ML workflow.

• AI Platform Engineering and Developer Experience: shared services, tooling, standards, and self-service experiences for building, deploying, observing, and governing AI solutions.

• Cloud and Distributed Systems: AWS or similar platforms, containers and Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, observability tools, and security concepts.

• Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and share best practices across engineering teams.
