The Opportunity:
Operating at the intersection of logistics and tech has allowed Flexport to develop a unique value proposition that customers all over the globe love, resulting in exponential growth over the last 10 years. As part of our mission to make global trade easy for everyone, we are expanding and growing our sales organization in Asia.
We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to build and scale our business with Chinese customers across our full range of logistics services—including Ocean, Air Freight, Customs, Trucking, and Warehousing—identifying high-potential clients and closing deals. You'll be part of a high-performing team and in the driver's seat to grow our presence in the region, providing tech-enabled logistics solutions that address customer needs.
You Will Be:
- Developing new Chinese customers and driving customer acquisition across Ocean, Air Freight, Customs, Trucking, and Warehousing services, keeping Flexport's offering competitive and innovative.
- Researching territories and verticals to identify and build relationships with new potential Chinese customers.
- Building and growing Flexport's business across all product lines by closing net-new business.
- Uncovering and connecting with ideal clients through a combination of self-prospecting and collaboration with our Sales Development Representative (SDR) team.
- Consulting with new clients to comprehensively understand their logistics and supply chain needs.
- Creating value-added solutions and demonstrating our capabilities through remote and in-person meetings.
- Leading the customer onboarding process by effectively leveraging internal resources and teams to ensure a smooth transition.
- Managing an assigned portfolio while prioritizing new business development, closing deals across the Sales Channel (Ocean, Air Freight, Customs, Trucking, and Warehousing)
- Developing a strong understanding of all service offerings to deliver integrated logistics solutions to customers.
- Staying aligned with strategic direction and market signals to capture both short-term and long-term business opportunities.
- Communicating key market trends, pricing shifts, and policy changes to the assigned portfolio.
- Partnering closely with Customer Service, Commercial Planning, Product, and other teams to keep customer needs and market insights current, and coordinating a commercial response to customer and market conditions.
- Keeping sales systems and reporting accurate and up to date to support management tracking, analysis, and planning.
You Should Have:
- 5+ years of shipping/logistics experience, including 2–3 years in quota-carrying sales and specifically in the Asian market.
- Solid knowledge of ocean freight, air freight, customs , trucking , cross-border trucking and general logistics services.
- Fluency in Khmer, English, and Chinese is required
- Strong understanding of the Asian market landscape with executive-level communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to build lasting relationships with decision-makers and key influencers.
- Self-motivated, resilient, and adaptable in a fast-paced international environment.
