Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Licensed Unarmed Patrol in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a retail location, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to shoppers and staff. You will communicate clearly, document activities using computer or tablet tools, and support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and a caring, people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and maintain awareness of activity within the location to help deter unauthorized access, theft, and other security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with law enforcement, emergency responders, management, and the public as needed to support site operations and incident response.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security professional license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
