Job Description Summary

Leads nursing operations across a clinical function or business unit area, accountable for evidence-based nursing practice, patient care standards, clinical workflow performance, and workforce effectiveness. Establishes nursing priorities that support safe, consistent, and compassionate care across ambulatory, community health, and other care delivery settings. Partners with clinical, operational, and provider leadership to align nursing services with quality, access, regulatory, and patient experience goals.

Director, Nursing acts independently as the leader of a clinical function or business unit area. Establishes operational priorities, manages leaders and clinical teams, and drives clinical performance and organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead nursing operations across assigned clinical areas, establishing priorities for patient care delivery, workflow performance, staffing effectiveness, and nursing practice consistency.
• Direct implementation of nursing standards, clinical protocols, documentation practices, and care delivery expectations in alignment with evidence-based practice and regulatory requirements.
• Manage nursing leaders and clinical teams by setting performance expectations, developing leadership capability, and supporting workforce planning across assigned areas.
• Partner with provider, quality, compliance, and operations leaders to improve patient safety, care coordination, access, clinical outcomes, and patient experience.
• Oversee nursing performance metrics, quality indicators, incident trends, staffing data, and operational dashboards to identify risks and drive corrective action.
• Lead clinical process improvement initiatives that strengthen nursing workflows, reduce variation, improve care team effectiveness, and support scalable clinical operations.
• Manage nursing budgets, staffing models, resource needs, and headcount planning to support business unit priorities and sustainable care delivery.

Compensation Range:

$97,619.00

to

$154,563.00

 

The anticipated base salary range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the compensation it reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.
