With its industry-leading Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) platform, Codebeamer, PTC helps customers accelerate and future-proof their product innovation and development processes. 

For more than 20 years, Codebeamer has supported organizations ranging from fast-growing technology companies to Fortune 100 enterprises in delivering complex, high-quality products. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our globally distributed Agile development team and contribute to the evolution of our enterprise-scale web application platform.

Your Impact:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software solutions while contributing to technical excellence across the team. Beyond implementation, you will help drive architectural discussions, mentor peers, and influence engineering best practices. 

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions in an Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban). 

• Own complex features throughout the entire development lifecycle, from design to deployment. 

• Develop new functionality and resolve defects while maintaining a strong focus on quality and performance. 

• Build reusable, maintainable, and scalable code that supports long-term product growth. 

• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, QA Engineers, Support teams, UX designers, and fellow developers. 

• Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architecture decisions. 

• Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices. 

• Support continuous integration, automated testing, and modern software delivery practices. 

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. 

• Demonstrate completed features to internal stakeholders and customers. 

• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing across the team. 

• Mentor junior engineers and help elevate overall engineering capabilities. 

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience. 

• Strong hands-on experience with:  

• Java SE 

• Spring Framework (Spring MVC, Spring Boot preferred) 

• JavaScript, TypeScript and Angular (modern versions preferred) 
• Experience developing enterprise-grade web applications. 

• Strong understanding of software design principles, object-oriented programming, and common design patterns. 

• Experience with relational databases and SQL (PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar). 

• Experience with Git and modern source control workflows.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and continuous integration practices.

• Experience working in Agile software development teams.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to contribute across the software development lifecycle, including analysis, testing, and documentation.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with NgRx or other Redux-style state management frameworks.

• Experience with RESTful APIs and distributed systems.

• Knowledge of web security concepts, authentication, and authorization protocols such as OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect.

• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Experience optimizing application performance and scalability.

• Previous mentoring or technical leadership experience.
