Energy & Infrastructure – Associate - London

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experience lawyer (3-7PQE) to join our highly-regarded Energy & Infrastructure practice in London.

About the Role

You will join the largest UK-based team dedicated to this industry, providing advice to clients all around the world, guiding them through all the problems and pitfalls they face. We advise on all aspects of infrastructure projects work. The Infrastructure and Projects team acts across the UK, advising an impressive mix of private and public sector clients on infrastructure projects across a broad range of industry sectors including energy and utilities networks, transport and social infrastructure (e.g. schools, hospitals, housing/prisons). The team’s work covers the full lifecycle of infrastructure projects from procurement, construction, financing and operations through to project expiry. In this role, you can expect to get involved in a broad variety of work including:

 - working with a mixture of public sector and private sector clients on the procurement and negotiation of contracts for new infrastructure projects

- advising infrastructure funds and their asset managers on the myriad of issues and changes to contracts that arise over the life of portfolios of infrastructure projects

- advising contractors on new contracts and changes to existing contracts in infrastructure projects

- contract expiry and handback of assets

- advising on distressed projects

- advising on settlement documentation for contractual disputes

About You

We will invest in your ongoing training and development to support your professional goals and help you to thrive in your role from day one. Our opportunities are open to all suitably qualified applicants, so to be considered for this role, you will be qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years PQE. If you have Construction or Infrastructure/ Projects experience or general commercial contracts experience, that would be desirable but not essential.
