Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, project profitability analysis, revenue recognition, and accounting operations. You will partner closely with internal stakeholders and clients to ensure financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and sound business decision-making.

This position is ideal for a finance professional with strong analytical skills, accounting expertise, and prior leadership experience who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee accounting and financial analysis activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Review, prepare, and audit financial reports, supporting documentation, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts, expenditures, and accruals to ensure financial performance targets are met.
• Analyze financial results and identify variances, trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations to management.
• Support revenue recognition processes and ensure budget accuracy within financial systems.
• Manage invoicing activities, client billing inquiries, and cash collection efforts.
• Review Accounts Receivable balances and unbilled amounts to optimize Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, and Project teams to communicate accounting policies and financial procedures.
• Prepare financial reports and business insights for leadership and clients.
• Establish priorities, coordinate workflows, and ensure deadlines are consistently achieved.
• Supervise, coach, and develop finance team members through training, performance management, and professional development initiatives.
• Participate in talent management activities, including hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, employee development, and workforce planning.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting, financial analysis, or FP&A experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of people management or supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of General Ledger accounting principles.
• Advanced analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Experience working with budgets, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification (completed or in progress).
• Experience supporting project-based or service-oriented financial environments.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition practices and project profitability analysis.
• Critical thinking and proactivity to challenge processes and develop improvements
