Assistant Manager – Technical

The Assistant Manager – Technical is responsible for the end-to-end management of facility operations, maintenance, compliance, and critical infrastructure systems to ensure uninterrupted business operations. The role oversees MEPF services, vendor management, statutory compliance, budget control, health and safety initiatives, and technical service delivery while maintaining the highest standards of operational efficiency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Maintenance

• Manage day-to-day facility operations, ensuring safety, functionality, and efficiency.
• Supervise maintenance activities for HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, BMS, LMS, FLS, and critical infrastructure systems.
• Ensure proper maintenance of critical rooms such as NOVEC 1230, MDF, IDF, and UPS rooms.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities and statutory compliance requirements.

Vendor & Service Management

• Manage technical service providers and third-party vendors.
• Oversee AMC renewals, negotiations, and service performance.
• Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and establish MTTR and MTTF benchmarks.
• Coordinate with landlords, service partners, and stakeholders for facility-related activities.

Financial Management

• Manage budgets, forecasting, CAPEX planning, and monthly indents.
• Obtain required approvals and monitor cost utilization.
• Track inventory, consumables, and spare parts to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Infrastructure & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
• Support emergency preparedness activities, evacuation drills, and ERT responsibilities.
• Ensure successful execution of planned shutdowns and critical maintenance activities.

Team & Reporting

• Manage vendor manpower and support staff deployment.
• Monitor training and competency development requirements.
• Prepare and submit Monthly Management Reports (MMR).
• Track attendance, cost sheets, utility invoices, and vendor payment processes.

Required Competencies

• Strong knowledge of MEPF systems, HVAC, Electrical, Fire & Life Safety systems, BMS, and critical infrastructure.
• Vendor management and contract administration.
• Budgeting, CAPEX planning, and cost control.
• Regulatory compliance and audit management.
• Incident management, root cause analysis, and risk mitigation.
• Leadership, stakeholder management, and team coordination.
• BCP and critical spares management
