Job Summary
The Sales Support rep is organized, responsive, and customer focused. This role serves as a crucial connection point linking Sales, Customers, Engineering, Production, and Logistics. You will not just enter data, you will interpret customer requests, HVAC equipment specifications, field measurements, and mechanical drawings to develop rock solid quotes and turn them into error free orders. Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Build accurate quotes from project specs, dimensions, schedules, and mechanical drawings.
- Review submittals and equipment specs to catch missing or conflicting details before quoting.
- Calculate material, labor, and freight costs for custom builds alongside Sales, Engineering, and Production.
- Convert approved quotes into error free production orders carrying exact technical specs.
- Coordinate with Engineering leads for specialized design reviews and custom approvals.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of CDI curb adapter designs, sheet metal fabrication, and plant capabilities.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, duct configurations, architectural specs, and equipment schedules.
- Serve as the primary internal contact for customer questions regarding quotes, order status, lead times, and submittals.
- Provide fast, clear, and solution focused communication to customers and internal teams.
- Follow up on open bids, customer requests, and order changes to keep projects on schedule.
- Coordinate daily with Production and Logistics to align quote commitments with factory capacity and shipping schedules.
- Track orders from production to delivery, flagging potential delays and preparing submittals or technical packets.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional education or training in business, engineering, drafting, estimating, or construction is a plus.
- Two or more years of experience in sales support, customer service, estimating, quoting, drafting, engineering support, or manufacturing operations preferred.
- Experience reading mechanical drawings, submittals, equipment schedules, or CAD drawings is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with HVAC equipment, sheet metal fabrication, commercial roofing, or manufacturing is a major advantage.
- Proficient with Google Workspace. Experience with quoting, or order entry software is preferred.
- Comfortable working with measurements, spatial dimensions, unit pricing, and project calculations with high accuracy.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Compensation, Schedule & Work Environment
- Pay: Hourly $30-$36
- Full-time, on-site position
- Standard business hours, Monday-Friday with occasional additional hours to address business needs.
- Primarily an office environment, with ample time spent communicating via email and phone.
