Position Summary
The Music Teacher is responsible for instructing elementary students in the fundamentals of music, fostering a love for music, and developing their musical skills. This role involves creating and implementing engaging lesson plans, teaching students to play instruments or sing, and organizing performances. The elementary music teacher collaborates with colleagues and seeks to integrate music into the overall curriculum. The teacher also contributes to a positive and inclusive learning environment and stays current with trends in music education. This role will also be responsible for the development of the school band.
