Job Description
As a Security Officer Armed Vehicle Patrol in Auburndale, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving and armed post where professionalism, quick decision-making, and teamwork matter. - Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken according to post orders.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, roadways, restricted areas, and perimeter locations, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials, authorizations, and/or visitor activity to help support controlled entry and compliance with location protocols.
- Support law enforcement, first responders, and/or site personnel during emergencies, disturbances, and special situations while maintaining professional communication and presence.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A minimum of 5 years of security-related experience is required.
- An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
