Key Responsibilities

Local Site Leadership, Execution & Integration

  • Serve as a trusted partner on the Hyderabad Site Leadership Team, ensuring strong connectivity between the site and Global Supply Chain leadership.
  • Break down silos, foster a unified "one team" identity, and drive cross-functional capability building, shared ways of working, and joint problem solving.
  • Identify and unlock collaboration opportunities with other functions co-located in Hyderabad — including Finance, BI&T, Commercial Operations, and R&D — to build integrated ways of working and cross-functional synergies.
  • Champion Hyderabad’s full integration into the broader network, including engagement, culture, role modeling, and clear expectations for working across time zones.

Global Supply Chain Integration & Matrix Leadership

  • Serve as a trusted partner across the GSC extended Leadership Team and with global functional leads, providing meaningful input into the strategic direction and operations of GSC.
  • Represent the entire GSC organization based in Hyderabad — across Business Performance and Transformation, Clinical Supply Chain, Customer Partnership and Supply Orchestration, Delivery, and Global Business Unit Supply Chain.
  • Lead a matrixed GSC organization, ensuring team stability, capability development, and consistent support across all functional pillars.
  • Translate global priorities into clear local execution and ensure Hyderabad's voice and strategy are reflected in global decision-making.
  • Proactively assess, evaluate, and escalate milestones and operational risks across functions, and recommend changes in direction or strategy as needed.

Organizational Capability & Talent

  • Attract, develop, and retain Supply Chain talent in a competitive market, demonstrating the ability to bring in and retain high-performing professionals.
  • Partners with global function leads to hiring decisions while owning local talent, culture, and engagement strategies; closely monitor hiring process and ensure the team remains competitive with the external environment. 
  • Develop and deploy local Workforce Planning strategies for Global Supply Chain.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Establish a learning and development framework for the CoE, supporting global Supply Chain training, compliance, and capability-building initiatives.
  • Build local relationships and external reputation with universities, industry partners, and the broader Hyderabad business community.

Continuous Improvement, AI / Digital & System Enablement

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across Supply Chain processes, leveraging process excellence methodologies.
  • Partner with the AI / Digital centers and GSC capability accelerator team in Hyderabad to accelerate Agentic and AI capabilities that achieve GSC's objectives
  • On ad hoc basis, lead global strategic initiatives as role and operations require.

On-site Protocol

BMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential, site-by-design, field-based and remote-by-design jobs. The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role:

Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility. For these roles, onsite presence is considered an essential job function and is critical to collaboration, innovation, productivity, and a positive Company culture. For field-based and remote-by-design roles the ability to physically travel to visit customers, patients or business partners and to attend meetings on behalf of BMS as directed is an essential job function.
