Student Services Support Specialist

Compensation Range:

$18.58 - $28.31

Position Summary:

Hiring compensation range: $18.58- $20.43 hourly depending on qualifications.

 

Job Summary:

Provides specialized clerical support to assigned department(s) to enable effective office operations.

 

Job Duties:

• Manage all aspects of financial aid appeals.
• Operate the rotary microfilm camera.
• Research and resolve complex student problems.
• Process requests for out-going transcripts.
• Assist in filing and coding first time applications and high school transcripts.
• Data entry, calculate and compute corrections to records and reports, maintain and handle confidential student records.
• Distribute, collect, check, and enter grade rolls.
• Assist with registration.
• Perform calculations to determine eligibility for financial aid.
• Process incoming mail, answer telephone inquiries, and redirect calls when necessary.
• Place orders for textbooks.
• Assist in the development, maintenance, and scheduling of Student Finance communication campaigns.
• Manage Accounts Receivable inbox, resolving inquiries and forwarding others for additional review to the appropriate Accountant or supervisor to ensure timely and effective responses.
• Serves as liaison with Student Services and Enrollment Management in coordinating and informing of scheduled communications.
• Update students account if necessary (chargebacks/NSF fees/write offs/sponsorships/holds).
• Analyzes data, reports, and records to make recommendations for improvement and/or timing of communications.
• Performs other similar and related duties as assigned.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED and at least one-year of prior-related work experience
