Library Assistant
Department: Children & Family Services
About the Position
Connetquot Public Library is seeking an enthusiastic, service-oriented Library Assistant to join our Children and Family Services Department. This position offers an opportunity to support engaging programs, connect families with library resources, and help create a welcoming environment for children and caregivers.
A bachelor’s degree is required. A master’s degree in Library Science and a New York State Public Librarian Certificate are not required.
Schedule and Compensation
Required shifts: Days, Afternoons, Friday evenings from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a monthly Saturday/Sunday rotation.
Compensation: $26 per hour.

Assist with planning, preparing, and presenting programs and events for children from infancy through school age
