Description
Our leading client in the FMCG manufacturing sector is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Compliance Supervisor to join a dynamic production environment based in Umhlanga. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with internal quality systems, regulatory requirements, and customer standards while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the business. This opportunity is ideal for a candidate with strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience within a manufacturing or technical environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure adherence to internal quality systems and regulatory compliance requirements
- Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits, including ISO and client audits
- Maintain accurate quality documentation and records in line with compliance standards
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, SOPs, and work instructions
- Investigate quality incidents, customer complaints, and non-conformances
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
- Support and facilitate staff training on quality and compliance procedures
- Track and report on quality metrics, trends, and areas for improvement
- Ensure compliance with legal, safety, environmental, and customer-specific standards
- Assist with sustainability and ethical trading compliance submissions, including SMETA and EcoVadis
- Coordinate compliance-related data collection and reporting processes
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency projects
Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Diploma in Operations Management, Compliance, or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a quality assurance or compliance role within a manufacturing or technical environment
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and internal auditing processes preferred
- Experience with CAPA, risk assessments, and document control systems
- Strong understanding of industry-related compliance legislation and regulations
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of quality management systems and compliance standards
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Proficient in MS Office and quality management systems/tools
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
- Strong administrative and time management skills
