What makes this opportunity exciting?

• Take ownership of a broad financial services function, overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cashbook and Finance Administration.
• Lead and develop a sizeable team of approximately 35 indirect reports.
• Play a key role in improving efficiencies, strengthening financial controls and driving continuous improvement.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders, auditors and external business partners.
• Contribute to financial planning, governance and operational decision-making.

 

What you will be doing

• Oversee accurate financial reporting, reconciliations and service delivery against agreed deadlines.
• Manage financial services operations, ensuring compliance, accuracy and efficiency.
• Monitor cash flow forecasts, foreign exchange requirements and cost-saving opportunities.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and support financial audits.
• Lead, motivate and develop your team while identifying opportunities for process improvement.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial legislation and governance requirements.

 

What you bring to the table

• A Financial Degree or relevant experience.
• At least 8 years' experience in an Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or Financial Services management role.
• Extensive management experience, with a proven track record of successfully leading large teams in a financial services environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of an organisation.
• A genuine passion for people development, mentoring and building high-performing teams.
• Strong financial reporting, operational management and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under pressure.

 

An added advantage:

• SAICA articles.
• Experience in a Shared Services environment.
• Working knowledge of JDE and Hyperion systems.
