Description
Founder-first pre-seed venture fund is looking for a Senior Executive Assistant to support one of its Partners. This is a rare opportunity to see firsthand how investing at the earliest stage really works, on a small, mission-driven team where you’ll build deep context and become a trusted working partner. In this role, you’ll own calendar, travel, expenses, and inbox management, and draft correspondence from notes, transcripts, and prior emails. You’ll also capture commitments from calls and carry them through: introductions, follow-ups, and next steps across every thread. Beyond that, you’ll prepare research and meeting briefs, keep the CRM current, run and improve AI-powered workflows, and help coordinate LP conversations ahead of an upcoming fundraise. Someone who is an exceptional writer with real taste, a proactive critical thinker with strong business judgment, deeply fluent in AI tools, and comfortable managing up and holding an executive accountable. This is a fully remote role with flexible hours. 120-180K DOE + bonus, benefits stipend, and flexible PTO.
Responsibilities:
- Own calendar management, travel and itineraries, and expense reporting.
- Manage personal and work inboxes, identifying what needs attention and preparing correspondence from notes, transcripts, and prior emails for review.
- Capture commitments made on calls and carry them through, including introductions, follow-ups, and next steps across multiple threads.
- Keep the CRM and action tracker accurate, current, and useful.
- Conduct research and prepare meeting materials, including briefs on founders and prospective relationships.
- Build targeted lists of potential founders and contacts based on defined categories.
- Run and continuously improve recurring workflows using AI tools.
- Help coordinate LP conversations and related logistics ahead of an upcoming fundraise.
- Provide personal support, including purchases, gifts, appointments, and travel logistics.
- Take on special projects as the role grows.
- 5+ years of experience as a senior Executive Assistant or Executive Business Partner, ideally in venture capital, finance, or a high-growth technology company.
- Experience on a small team where the role went well beyond scheduling.
- Exceptional writing skills and taste, with the ability to adjust tone and register across founders, investors, and LPs.
- Strong business judgment and the ability to tell what you can move forward on your own versus what needs the executive’s input.
- Proactive and solutions-oriented, with an instinct to research and solve problems before asking questions.
- Extremely detail- and follow-through-oriented, with a track record of reliably closing loops.
- Deep fluency with AI tools and modern software, such as ChatGPT, Claude, Attio, Superhuman, and AI notetakers, plus genuine curiosity about new ones.
- Steady, conscientious, and comfortable managing up, including challenging assumptions and holding an executive accountable.
- Thrives in a fully remote, high-trust environment with a lot of autonomy and little process.
- Intellectually curious and a strong reader.
