Sales Officer

Job Summary

Our client in the Microfinance industry is seeking a results driven Sales Officer to support client acquisition, product promotion, and the achievement of sales and loan disbursement targets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring new clients, promoting microfinance products, conducting fieldbased sales, assessing clients, supporting portfolio management, and ensuring timely loan repayments while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the achievement of sales targets set by the company.
• Provide frontoffice customer service while ensuring proper representation and protection of the company’s brand.
• Input and maintain borrower information in the loan management system.
• Assist in the implementation, planning, and execution of marketing and sales strategies.
• Assist in developing company, portfolio, and market performance reports as required.
• Evaluate clients’ creditworthiness by processing loan applications and documentation within specified limits and in accordance with the company’s credit policy.
• Interview loan applicants to determine their financial eligibility and the feasibility of granting loans.
• Determine applicable financial ratios and metrics and establish appropriate debt payment plans.
• Communicate with clients to request required information and provide relevant updates or information.
• Assess customer needs, explore available options, and introduce clients to different types of loan products.
• Develop referral networks, identify alternative sales channels, and crosssell products and services to achieve assigned quotas.
• Build strong relationships with customers to promote trust, loyalty, and satisfaction throughout the underwriting process.
• Operate in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and adhere to established lending compliance guidelines.
• Attend to leads referred by respective partners and build strong working relationships with them.
• Perform any other related duties assigned in support of achieving the company’s objectives.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a business related field or similar discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of sales experience in loan related products.
• Strong business acumen and integrity.
• Strong organizational and   skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
