Job Description Summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with at least eight years of experience to serve as the technical anchor for our next-generation wind blade root components. In this role, you will take full ownership of the design, analysis, and validation of critical root section components—including bushings, foam inserts, ovalization, complex laminate bonding, and prefabricated thin & thick shell architectures—ensuring that every project adheres to our strict prioritization of safety, quality, delivery, and cost. You will act as our primary technical authority, bridging the gap between theoretical design and factory reality by developing root concepts that are not only structurally robust but also optimized for manufacturing. Your impact will span the entire product lifecycle, from leading comprehensive component testing
programs—including orthogonal and off-axis structural testing—to resolving complex field quality issues and spearheading New Technology
Introduction (NTI) and New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives.

Beyond your core technical contributions, you will play a pivotal role in our cross-functional strategy, acting as the bridge between Design,
Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to drive consensus on technical approaches. As a subject matter expert, you will define
design rules and specifications, perform proactive risk assessments, and leverage data-driven insights to shape our long-term technology
roadmap for root durability. We are looking for an individual who is as passionate about people as they are about engineering; you will foster
a culture of psychological safety by mentoring upcoming engineers, sharing best practices, and facilitating professional growth across the
discipline. If you are a decisive problem-solver who thrives on taking a fresh perspective on root-section challenges and wants to influence the
future of wind energy, we invite you to help us drive the next phase of our manufacturing transformation.
