The Senior Operations Finance Analyst serves as a lead financial partner for complex projects, portfolios, or operating groups. This role owns advanced forecasting and performance analysis, challenges project assumptions, connects operational execution to revenue, margin, and cash outcomes, and provides decision support to project and operations leadership. The position leads analytical improvements, strengthens controls, and develops less-experienced finance team members.

The finance and accounting organization supports safe, disciplined execution by providing reliable financial information, scalable processes, effective controls, and clear accountability.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial oversight, forecasting, and performance analysis for complex projects, portfolios, or service lines.
- Build integrated forecasts connecting contract scope, schedule, progress, quantities, labor, equipment, procurement, spend, revenue, earnings, and cash flow.
- Review and challenge estimates at completion, productivity assumptions, contingency usage, change recovery, and risk and opportunity positions.
- Identify emerging performance issues and quantify their potential effect on revenue, gross profit, cash, and working capital.
- Lead recurring project reviews and present concise financial insights, decision points, and recommended actions.
- Ensure revenue recognition, accruals, reserves, billing positions, and forecast changes are supported and consistent with policy.
- Design robust analytical models, dashboards, reconciliations, and exception reporting with clear data governance.
- Partner across operations, project controls, commercial, accounting, procurement, payroll, and leadership to resolve cross-functional issues.
- Lead targeted process improvements and support implementation and adoption of new systems and operating practices.
- Coach analysts and coordinators and review work for accuracy, completeness, and business relevance.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced project finance, project accounting, forecasting, and financial modeling capability.
- Strong understanding of construction or EPC project drivers, including schedule, quantities, productivity, change management, and cost-to-complete.
- Ability to identify weak assumptions, reconcile conflicting information, and form a well-supported financial position.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI, ERP, project management, or data visualization tools.
- Executive-ready communication and ability to influence project and operational leaders without direct authority.
- Strong process orientation with emphasis on controls, repeatability, and data integrity.
- Ability to manage complex priorities and operate independently in ambiguous environments.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and develop less-experienced team members.
EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Typically six to nine years of progressive operations finance, project accounting, project controls, or related experience.
- Construction, engineering, utilities, or EPC experience required; large or complex project experience preferred.
- CPA, CMA, MBA, or relevant professional certification preferred.
