SME – Supply Chain (Process Governance and Management) 

Role Summary 

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to support process documentation and standardization initiatives within the supply chain sourcing domain. 

This role will work closely with process excellence leads and business stakeholders to capture, structure, and document end-to-end supply chain processes into clear, scalable SOPs and process flows. 

The ideal candidate should be able to translate complex, cross-functional business processes into simple, structured, and actionable documentation, with clear articulation of roles, workflows, and measurable outcomes. 

What You Will Do 

• Develop, review, and maintain high-quality SOPs for supply chain processes, ensuring clarity, completeness, and audit readiness  

• Translate business inputs into structured, step-by-step documentation with clearly defined roles, inputs, outputs, and exception handling  

• Create process flow diagrams (Visio/BPMN) for current and future-state workflows to enable end-to-end process visibility (Convert ambiguous or verbal process discussions into clear, logical, and easy-to-follow documentation). 

• Ability to handle and impart process level training.   

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Procurement, Planning, Logistics, Finance) to gather inputs and validate process accuracy.  

• Ensure all documentation is standardized, version-controlled, and aligned with governance and compliance requirements  

• Support continuous improvement by updating process documents, maintaining repositories, and contributing to training and onboarding materials.  

Must-Have Requirements 

• 6+  years of experience in: Process Management / SOP PLM / business analysis support  

• Proven ability to create: SOPs with Process flow diagrams  

• Strong understanding of supply chain / sourcing / procurement processes  

• Ability to work across multiple functions and translate inputs into structured outputs  

• Excellent written communication with clear, concise, and well-structured documentation  

• Strong attention to detail and logical thinking.  

Critical Capabilities (Derived from Interview Gaps Observed) 

We are specifically looking for candidates who can: 

• Present information in a crisp, structured, and easy-to-understand manner  

• Clearly articulate process steps, ownership, and measurable outcomes  

• Demonstrate business context understanding, not just documentation mechanics  

• Avoid generic or theoretical responses—focus on practical, real-world process documentation  

• Show ability to handle cross-functional processes, not just isolated tasks.  

Tools & Technical Skills 

• Process mapping tools: Visio / Lucid chart / BPMN tools.  

• DMS tools exposure like: Arena, 

• MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint  

• Familiarity with ERP systems.  

• Familiarity with CI methodologies: Lean / agile / Six sigma. 

Preferred Background 

• Process documentation roles in shared services / consulting  

• Supply chain coordinators with strong documentation exposure.  

• Looking ideally for: 

• 6+ years in supply chain, with demonstrated experience in cross-functional process transformation  

• Experience working at enterprise or multi-site level  

• Proven ownership of end-to-end process improvements 

As part of the interview process, candidates may be asked to: 

• Draft an SOP (e.g., Supplier Qualification & Onboarding)  

• Create a process flow based on high-level inputs  

• Structure an unorganized process description into a clear document.
