- Shape and steward the Mission Australia brand story, maintaining a consistent narrative, tone of voice and brand experience across channels.
- Produce, edit and deliver compelling, high-quality content across website, social media, video and print.
- Source and develop meaningful stories and case studies in partnership with frontline teams and stakeholders, bringing Mission Australia’s purpose and impact to life.
- Manage content priorities and stakeholder requests, providing expert guidance on content, storytelling, brand and channel suitability.
- Coordinate content production across owned channels, adapting and repurposing materials to maximise relevance, reach and impact.
- Use audience insights and content performance data to continually improve content quality, engagement and effectiveness.
- Develop and embed content frameworks, standards and best-practice tools that strengthen content capability and consistency across the organisation.
Requirements for success
- Tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, Media or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in content or communications, creating and delivering high-quality content across multiple channels.
- Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex information and organisational priorities into clear, engaging content.
- Strong understanding of digital content best practice across websites, social media, email, video and emerging channels.
- Experience applying brand, tone of voice, accessibility and style guidelines to create consistent, audience-focused communications.
- Ability to build trusted relationships and confidently advise and influence stakeholders on content and storytelling priorities.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, contributors and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Ability to use audience insights, performance data and market trends to inform content decisions and continuously improve engagement and effectiveness.
