Product Director - Debt Services

Equifax is in search of a senior Product leader to oversee the strategy, development, and management of our Debt Services Product Domain.

What you’ll do

• The Product Director plays a crucial role in the successful execution of the UK growth strategy, working in close alignment with the Director of Strategic Growth.
• This position entails defining, developing, and implementing the product strategy for the Debt Services domain, including ownership of the product proposition, management of the existing product portfolio (such as our Recoveries Management Services), and the creation of product roadmaps, as well as the delivery of New Product Initiatives (NPI).
• You will lead a talented Product team in the ideation, management of current offerings, and execution of New Product Initiatives as outlined in the Strategy Playbook (SPB) and Product Domain Strategies, while adhering to the standards set forth in the Equifax Product Management Handbook (PMHB).

What experience you need

• Candidates must possess expertise in financial services and the public sector, with a comprehensive understanding of credit reference agencies (CRAs), data analytics, and debt management regulations.
• A robust background in Collections and Recoveries is essential, along with extensive experience and a strong network within the UK Debt Services sector across both private and public sector clients.
• You should be a subject matter expert on both current and emerging debt collection regulations, vulnerable customer policies, and economic trends.
• Experience in developing, launching, and managing products in Debt Services is required, particularly if you have led Collections Strategy teams, managed debt platforms, or held similar roles within Credit Reference Agencies, Debt Collection Agencies (DCAs), or Financial Services.
• A passion for data, analytics, and problem-solving is essential, as is a solid understanding of FCA regulations, including but not limited to Consumer Duty and CONC, as well as a strong grasp of public sector debt guidelines.

What could set you apart

• Experience in developing products within cloud-based environments and utilising artificial intelligence or advanced analytics to drive operational efficiencies in debt recovery would be a significant advantage.
