The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Associate Director of Annual Giving & Gift Planning Initiatives, Division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement

ROLE of the POSITION

The Associate Director of Annual Giving & Planned Giving Initiatives supports the strategic execution and growth of the annual giving and gift planning programs for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. This position plays a key role in strengthening donor engagement and philanthropic participation through annual giving initiatives, recurring giving programs, donor stewardship, and planned giving outreach.

The Associate Director coordinates initiatives related to faculty and staff giving, recurring giving programs, young alumni engagement, and planned giving stewardship while supporting efforts to identify, cultivate, and steward donors across the philanthropic pipeline. In partnership with the Senior Director of Gift Planning and the Director of Annual Giving, this role assists with donor communications, stewardship strategies, events, prospect tracking, and programmatic initiatives that enhance long-term donor engagement and support the university’s fundraising priorities.

This position works collaboratively with Development Officers, Alumni Engagement, Advancement Services, Communications, and campus partners to implement integrated donor engagement strategies that strengthen annual participation and build future major and planned giving opportunities. The Associate Director maintains a small portfolio of annual giving prospects and supports donor cultivation and stewardship efforts through personalized outreach, events, and communications.

The Associate Director must possess strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced advancement environment.

BACKGROUND SCREENING

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree required. Candidates should possess knowledge of fundraising principles, donor engagement strategies, philanthropic stewardship practices, annual giving, donor pipeline development, and planned giving concepts. Strong communication, organizational, project management, analytical, and relationship-building skills are required, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred qualifications include:

●        Experience with planned giving or legacy society stewardship programs

●        Familiarity with donor CRM systems such as Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge or Salesforce

●        Knowledge of recurring giving and faculty/staff giving programs

●        Experience with donor segmentation and fundraising analytics

●        Experience developing donor-centered stewardship communications

●        Experience coordinating fundraising or donor engagement events

●        Ability to analyze donor participation and engagement data to inform strategy

●        Ability to identify opportunities to strengthen donor retention and pipeline growth

Salary $75,000.00, or commensurate with the labor market
