The Rakuten Group provides innovative services in the telecommunications and IT industries and aims for growth in the global market. We are focusing on new business development to empower companies by expanding our B2B service offerings.
Department Overview
Starting with B2B mobile services, we are expanding our solutions business to solve our customers' operational challenges by combining devices, security, SaaS, IoT, and AI. Moving forward, we will strengthen "Mobile Managed Services"-a new growth area that provides consistent support not only for service implementation but also for post-implementation management and operations.
In this position, you will play a role in the Service Planning Department, building Rakuten Mobile’s "Mobile Managed Services" from 0 to 1 and driving its growth as a business.
Using corporate mobile lines and devices as a foundation, you will plan and commercialize new services by combining MDM/UEM, Endpoint Security, Cloud Phonebooks (PAP, etc.), Help Desk, Kitting, LCM, SaaS Managed Support, and operational monitoring.
Furthermore, we aim to build a next-generation Managed Service where AI and humans collaborate, utilizing AI Agents for inquiry handling, primary troubleshooting, knowledge searches, ticket processing, and operational monitoring, ensuring that the headcount does not increase proportionally as the number of projects and contract IDs grows.
This is a position where you will not be limited to operating existing services; you will conceive service concepts, business models, pricing, operations, and Go-to-Market strategies based on market and customer needs, and drive them to commercialization while involving internal and external stakeholders.

Why We Hire
With the expansion of Rakuten Mobile's B2B business, there is a growing need for services that include not only mobile line provision but also devices, security, SaaS, and operations.
To address these needs, we are hiring multiple members for business development and service planning to launch a new "Mobile Managed Services" business that combines mobile, security, managed services, and AI.
We are not looking for specialists in specific products or technologies. We welcome those who can form hypotheses based on customer challenges and who can build new businesses/services from 0 to 1 while involving those around them. Experience in the telecommunications or security industry is not mandatory.
Position Details
In Mobile Managed Services, you will leverage Rakuten Mobile's B2B customer base to plan and promote next-generation Managed Services centered on mobile.
The main areas currently envisioned are:
・Mobile Security/Managed Mobility such as MDM/UEM, Endpoint Security, and Cloud Phonebooks (PAP, etc.)
・Managed Services such as Help Desk, Kitting, LCM, operational monitoring, and SaaS Managed Support
・Automation of inquiry handling, primary troubleshooting, knowledge searches, ticket processing, and operational monitoring using AI Agents
・Researching markets, customers, and competitors, and exploring new business opportunities
・Planning service/business concepts based on corporate customer challenges
・Designing business models, revenue models, pricing, SLAs, service terms, operations, and Go-to-Market strategies
・Standardizing and automating business processes premised on AI Agents, and building a scalable cost structure
・Planning Attach / Cross-sell strategies combining corporate lines, devices, security, SaaS, and managed services
・Building alliances and delivery structures with Rakuten Group companies, service vendors, and technology partners
・Driving cross-functional projects involving sales, technology, legal, finance, and operations
After joining, depending on your experience and strengths, you will focus on either the Managed Service area or the Mobile Security/Managed Mobility area. This is not a position fixed to a specific product; we expect you to expand your scope to multiple areas such as AI, Security, SaaS, and Devices depending on the business phase and your career aspirations, and eventually lead the business/service.
Work Environment
This is an environment where you can shape new businesses and services with a sense of speed while collaborating with members from diverse fields such as telecommunications, IT, SaaS, devices, and AI. You will work with a wide range of stakeholders, including domestic and international service vendors, Rakuten Group companies, and internal sales, technology, and operations teams. We plan to hire multiple people for this position and will determine the area of responsibility based on your experience, expertise, and aspirations.
We have members who have joined us from diverse industries, including foreign IT companies, manufacturers, telecommunications, and SaaS. We value thinking about "how we can make it happen" rather than just following existing methods, and we emphasize taking the initiative to form hypotheses and involving others to move forward.
Mandatory Qualifications:
・At least 3 years of professional experience
・Practical experience in any of the following: New business development, service planning, business planning, product planning, IT service planning, consulting, B2B solution planning/proposal, or project management
・Experience in organizing customer or business challenges, forming your own hypotheses, and planning solutions
・Experience in moving projects forward by involving multiple internal and external stakeholders
・Ability to think of new services and mechanisms without being bound by existing methods
・Ability to learn about unknown topics or technologies and apply them to your work
*Practical experience in the telecommunications or security industry is not mandatory.
Desired Qualifications:
・Experience in service planning and operational design for Managed Services, MSP, Help Desk, ITSM, BPO, etc.
・Experience or knowledge in MDM, UEM, Endpoint Security, Identity, Zero Trust, etc.
・Experience in Enterprise Mobility, Device Management, LCM, etc.
・Experience in utilizing AI, Generative AI, or AI Agents in business or services
・Experience in SaaS or IT service planning and business development
・Experience in launching B2B services or new businesses from 0 to 1
・Experience in formulating business cases such as business plans, revenue models, pricing, and P/L
・Experience in service implementation and project management for large corporate customers
・Experience in alliances with external partners, operational design, and joint business development
・Experience in planning sales strategies, Go-to-Market, and Cross-sell/Upsell initiatives
・Experience working with overseas teams or partners in English
