The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while delivering exceptional guest service. This role ensures accurate drink preparation, maintains bar cleanliness, promotes responsible alcohol service, and contributes to a welcoming and efficient bar environment.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bartending certification preferred (where applicable).
Experience
Minimum 1 year of bartending or high-volume restaurant/bar experience preferred.
Knowledge of drink recipes, mixology, and POS systems required.
Skills & Knowledge
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and cocktail preparation.
Understanding of responsible alcohol service and state/local regulations.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.
Strong cash-handling and basic math skills.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and cleanliness.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages according to standard recipes.
Greet and engage guests, take orders, and provide recommendations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar area, including counters, equipment, and glassware.
Restock liquor, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies throughout the shift.
Process payments accurately using POS systems; handle cash and tabs responsibly.
Verify guest identification to ensure legal drinking age compliance.
Follow all sanitation, safety, and alcohol service policies and procedures.
Assist with bar opening and closing duties.
Report any equipment or maintenance needs promptly.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
