Associate Director, Market Access and Reimbursement, Kite

Kite, a Gilead Sciences company, has successfully launched multiple cell therapies across markets worldwide, helping to change the treatment paradigm in hematological oncology. We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Director, Market Access and Reimbursement, to join the regional team and support the ex-US launch of the multiple myeloma asset. The role will support the Regional Execution Lead and the Market Access Director to ensure that ex-US affiliates have the health technology assessment (HTA), reimbursement and launch materials required to pursue timely and sustainable patient access. The position sits within the regional Value and Access team, reports to the Senior Director, Head of Regional Value and Access, and is hybrid based 3 days per week in Stockley Park office then in Q2 2027 moving to our new central London office.

The Associate Director, Market Access and Reimbursement, will support regional execution of the multiple myeloma asset access strategy across ex-US markets. The role will translate regional strategy into practical affiliate support, coordinate market requirements, and oversee the adaptation and delivery of HTA, reimbursement and launch materials. The role will work closely with the Regional Execution Lead and the Market Access Director, while partnering with affiliate and cross-functional teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the Regional Execution Lead and the Market Access Director in executing the ex-US access and reimbursement strategy for multiple myeloma asset.
• Act as a central point of coordination for ex-US affiliates, ensuring that market access needs, priorities, risks and timelines are clearly understood and addressed.
• o Develop and maintain an affiliate support plan that maps key HTA, reimbursement and launch milestones, required materials, owners, dependencies and delivery dates.
• o Coordinate the development, review, localisation and deployment of core HTA and reimbursement materials, including value dossiers, economic models, budget impact tools, payer materials, objection handlers and formulary resources.
• o Gather and synthesise affiliate evidence needs and payer insights and translate them into clear requirements for Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), Medical Affairs and other partner functions.
• Support affiliates in preparing high-quality HTA submissions, responses to HTA questions and payer engagements, ensuring consistency with the regional strategy and core value proposition.
• Monitor affiliate launch readiness and proactively identify gaps, risks and interdependencies that could affect HTA submission quality, reimbursement timing or access outcomes.
• Facilitate exchange of insights and good practice across affiliates, reducing duplication and enabling consistent use of regional and global materials.
• Partner with Commercial, Medical Affairs, HEOR, Pricing, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, Government Affairs, Public Affairs, Legal and Compliance to deliver integrated affiliate support.
• Support the Joint Clinical Assessment process for EMA submissions
• Ensure that all activities and materials comply with applicable laws, regulations, industry codes, and corporate policies and procedures.
• Prepare clear, concise and decision-focused documents and presentations for regional, affiliate and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Build effective working relationships across diverse markets and functions, enabling timely decisions and consistent execution.
• Prioritize work across multiple markets and projects while maintaining focus on the activities most critical to HTA readiness and launch access.
• Take initiative within the agreed governance structure and consistently deliver high-quality outputs.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with the manager, Regional Execution Lead, Market Access Director and other identified stakeholders.
• Use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel to produce clear, accurate and audience-appropriate work products.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

• Strong experience in market access, HTA, HEOR, pricing and/or reimbursement, gained at affiliate, regional or global level. Above-country experience is preferred.
• o Direct experience of HTA submissions, responses to HTA questions and payer-facing materials.
• o Hands-on experience in developing or adapting value dossiers, economic models, budget impact tools and other reimbursement materials.
• Oncology experience is required; experience in hematological malignancies, cell therapy or complex hospital products is preferred.
• Strong analytical and strategic skills, combined with a practical approach to execution and problem-solving.
• Clear communication and influencing skills, with the ability to explain technical HTA, HEOR and pricing concepts to non-specialist audiences.
• Proven ability to manage complex cross-functional projects, external partners and multiple affiliate stakeholders.
• Strong business judgement and the ability to work effectively in a matrix organization while managing ambiguity and competing priorities.
• Prepare clear, concise and decision-focused documents and presentations for regional, affiliate and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Build effective working relationships across diverse markets and functions, enabling timely decisions and consistent execution.

TRAVEL AND LOCATION

• Approximately 30% travel may be required.
• The position is based in our Stockley Park office 3 days per week hybrid and then moving to central London, UK in Q2 2027
