Job Description

About the Role: 

The Senior Data & AI Analyst at Brooks is responsible for translating business needs into analytics, reporting, and AI-enabled insights that improve decision-making and support enterprise AI adoption. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join Brooks as we accelerate our digital transformation and expand our Data & AI capabilities across the Asia Pacific region. We are building a new team focused on leveraging advanced analytics, Generative AI, AI Agents, Microsoft Copilot, and modern cloud data platforms to drive business value across manufacturing, engineering, operations, and corporate functions.  

As a key member of this growing capability, you will help shape how AI is adopted across the organization by partnering closely with business stakeholders, identifying high-impact use cases, and transforming data into actionable insights and intelligent solutions. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of business, analytics, and emerging AI technologies while contributing to the development of Brooks' long-term AI strategy in APAC. 

Work location: Onsite – Pasir Gudang, Johor Bahru 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Data Analysis: Query, clean, and analyze data using Python (pandas, numpy), SQL, and business intelligence tools 

• Business Intelligence: Develop dashboards, KPIs, reports, and executive-level insights using enterprise data platforms 

• Semantic Modeling: Build and maintain semantic models, business metrics, and governed analytical datasets 

• AI Strategy & Planning: Translate business requirements into AI-enabled analytics use cases with business value cases 

• GenAI / LLM Use Cases: 

• Build prompts for business use cases including summarization, Q&A, classification, and insight generation 

• Evaluate outputs for accuracy, hallucination, relevance, and business usefulness 

• Structure inputs using RAG, semantic models, and vector databases 

• Leverage Microsoft Copilot, Fabric Data Agents, and Azure AI Foundry capabilities to create conversational analytics, knowledge retrieval, and decision-support solutions 

• AI Agents: 

• Design agents use cases that automate report generation, data queries, alerts, and business workflows 

• Validate agent outputs and improve workflows with business feedback 

• Partner with engineering teams to deploy and maintain enterprise AI agents using Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft Fabric, and OneLake-connected data assets 

Qualifications: 

• 5-8 years in data analytics, business intelligence, ML, or AI-enabled analytics roles, with experience in Agentic AI Design & Development 

• Analytics Skills: 

• Advanced SQL, Power BI, and data visualization skills 

• Ability to analyze datasets end-to-end and explain insights clearly to business stakeholders 

• GenAI / LLM Exposure: 

• Experience using tools like Claude, OpenAI ChatGPT or similar 

• Proficient with modern GenAI tools like Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, etc. 

• AI Agents: 

• Experience designing, testing, or supporting AI agents using Amazon Bedrock, Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft Fabric Data Agents, or similar platforms 

• Strong awareness of emerging agentic AI trends, multi-agent architectures, and AI governance practices 

• Data Platforms: 

• Rich experience with enterprise data platforms and cloud analytics ecosystems, including AWS Redshift, Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Azure AI Foundry, and modern semantic data models 

• Experience developing business-facing semantic layers and retrieval-ready datasets that support Copilot, Fabric Data Agents, and agentic AI solutions
