Senior Software Engineer - .NET / Azure (Information Technology/Software)

Our client, a leading Software, Information and Communication Technologies company, operates internationally (Athens, Brussels, Luxembourg, Copenhagen, Stockholm, London, Nicosia, Hong-Kong, Valetta, etc). Our client is a renowned supplier of IT services to government institutions, multinational corporations, public administrations and multinational companies, research and academic institutes.

 

Role Overview

Our client currently has a vacancy for a Senior Software Engineer (.NET / Azure) fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Luxembourg. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Requirements

• Master’s degree combined with minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• At least 10 years of hands on experience on enterprise applications solutions development or enterprise application integration solutions with particular focus on the development platform APIs/SDKs;
• At least 10 years of experience in bespoke software development;
• At least 5 years of experience in cloud development architecture and build/release automation pipelines;
• At least 5 years of experience in the development of process/workflow engines and process driven enterprise applications;
• At least 5 years of experience in C# (.NET) and .NET Framework development;
• At least 5 years of experience in database design and querying, including SQL Server, Azure SQL, or Cosmos DB;
• At least 3 years of experience in the development of highly scalable cloud-based applications;
• At least 3 years of experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, and HTML for web application development;
• At least 3 years of experience deploying and managing applications on Azure App Service;
• At least 3 years of experience working with XML, XSLT, DTD, XML Schema (XSD), SOAP, and REST technologies;
• At least 3 years of experience using UML and applying Rational Unified Process (RUP) or similar methodologies for analysis and design;
• At least 3 years of experience working within Scrum or Agile development environments;
• At least 3 years of experience using Azure DevOps and Git for source code management, CI/CD, and release automation;
• At least 3 years of experience with WCF (Windows Communication Foundation);
• At least 3 years of experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud services;
• Excellent command of the English language and good knowledge of French.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on enterprise solution architectures, including best practices for custom component development, cloud-based components, and build/deployment processes;
• Analyze, design, and develop high-quality solution components aligned with business and technical requirements;
• Contribute to the analysis and implementation of Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) across diverse information systems;
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation to support development and deployment activities;
• Participate in technical working groups, project meetings, and discussions with stakeholders and end-users to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
